Description
The BADASS Tents Low Mount Cross Bar kit is a designed to mount any Roof Top Tent (or surf board, bike, etc) 2″ above to the roof of the LR3/LR4 to reduce drag and wind noise associated with large objects on the roof. It mounts directly to the frame using high quality hardware, anodized aluminum stand offs and the extruded aluminum cross bars, all made in the USA! Works with or without the factory roof rail channels.

Since purchasing my LR3 I never purchased a roof rack I was looking for something simple and rated for dynamic load. This was the only website that shared the dynamic load rating in their description, no digging needed so I bought this immediately.
During installation per their description it does work with the factory roof rail channels but there would have to be modified cuts to the factory rail for the mounting post to actually fit the channel, which I was only told after I purchased it.
Make sure to purchase loctite for these, newbie mistake. I was having problems tightening the post then lining up mounts to attach the crossbars.
Setup wasn’t tight enough causing the mounts to rattle on the road. Would’ve appreciated bumper protectors on the ends of the crossbars as the edges are a little sharp and trying to slide my rooftop tent from the side of the vehicle ended up doing some damage to the bottom layer of the tent itself. Overall the low profile performance of the cross bars is great and customer service is easy to get in contact with.
